Frequently Asked Questions
What types of firms do you typically work with?
We work with all types of investment firms—from small, emerging managers to established, multi-affiliate platforms. And everything in between.
How is PHG different from a typical marketing agency?
We’re different because we’re specialists. Unlike generalists, PHG brings decades of hands-on, real-world experience inside investment organizations—leading marketing teams, analyzing strategies, and supporting sales. We know what works—and what doesn’t.
Can you work within our existing brand guidelines and materials?
Yes, we can. Whether you need to build your brand from scratch, refine your existing look-and-feel, or ensure consistency with firm-wide standards, we design materials that fit the bill.
Do you only work on large, long-term projects?
Not at all. While we often serve as long-term partners, we also take on focused projects with near-term deliverables—like a pitch book overhaul or coaching for an upcoming finals presentation.
Who actually does the work?
All work is completed by Steve Galloway, CFA, CAIA and Rose Galloway, CFA, CAIA, CSRIC. We don’t outsource projects to junior staffers, and this is a big part of the reason clients hire us. PHG clients know that every engagement benefits from our experience and expertise.
What about other full-time staff?
PHG does not employ full-time staff. This keeps our overhead low and our client communication high. Even in cases where we partner with others to leverage specialized sets, such as website programming or custom photography, either Rose or Steve will remain your point of contact throughout the engagement.
How many projects do you work on at a time?
We work on a limited number of projects at a time (typically 5-7, depending on size), so that each of our clients gets the attention they expect from a boutique consulting firm.
Do you offer presentation coaching for individuals or just teams?
Both. We tailor our coaching to each person or group, whether that’s preparing a single executive for a board presentation or upskilling an entire team ahead of a roadshow.
What’s the first step if we want to work together?
Start with a conversation. We’ll learn more about your goals, recommend a potential starting point, and outline a scope of work that fits your needs.
